Nyngan historian Anna Corby has dedicated a great deal of time researching the war histories of Nyngan and district service men and women who served in World War I, World War II, Korea, Malaysia, Borneo and Vietnam.
Mrs Corby’s had information on over 200 service men and women published in time to commemorate the centenary of the Gallipoli campaign. Her second, recently published book includes records of nearly 500 Nyngan men and women who served from WWII and other wars up to and including the Vietnam War.
“Both books are tremendous resources for the Nyngan community and we thank Anna warmly for her dedication and commitment in undertaking this enormous task,” community member Di Donald said.
Copies of the books are available at Bogan Shire and Nyngan Museum.
