We would like everyone to stock up with books, DVDs, magazines etc to cover the days that we are closed.
The “Book Link” reading program has now commenced so any children wishing to participate are asked to come into the library to register. Children need to read 20 books from the library at their reading level over the next few months. Every child who reads the minimum required books will receive a Certificate and a book prize which will be presented at the Presentation Party in August. The Nyngan CWA Association is providing $30 gift vouchers to children in age groups to be determined depending on the age groups participating.
National Simultaneous Storytime will be held on Wednesday May 24 with the reading commencing at 11.00 am. This year’s book is “The cow jumped over the moon” by Tony Wilson Everyone is welcome to come along and be part of the National Story time reading.
The library’s Biggest Morning Tea will be held on Thursday May 25 commencing at 10.30 am. All welcome to come along for Morning Tea to donate to a worthy cause.
