An excellent back nine of plus five where Greg stood out like a beacon gave them a total of plus five. Nate had his moments more so on the front nine with some long drives and magic putting. Falling over at the last hurdle was Deb Matheson and Robyn Harris with plus seven.
Over the course of the game they were plus seven after 12 holes washouts along the river and the 18th cancelled out a couple of other plusses. Les Dorrington and Pat Walsh had plus four.
Tim Tulenew won both pins and Dave Bartley believe it not equalled a world record, that is scoring on every hole in a four ball.
His partner, who shall remain anonymous plays off 21 contributed zilch. Keno qualifiers for the ladies was Deb and Robyn.
Saturday's medal round was postponed due to a wet track. Next Saturday is the Mick Walsh memorial cup, a two person medley ambrose sponsored by his old buddies; Ando, BJ, The Bear and Johnnie who are all making the trip back for the event. Sunday is a par event plus the Narromine Open.
Badge Draw is back to $200 this week after Peto cashed in last week. The jackpot putt was worth $900 last week. Deidre Wright got no help what so ever from her supposed friend Barry in how hard to hit etc and came up blank.
Deb and Luan put on a super meal last week. Shepherds pie and chicken schnitzel, a credit to all those involved who do the hard yakka on Thursdays providing us with a meal. The ladies mid-week competition went to Dolly Ryan with 33 points, Jenny Holmes, 31 points. Beat our visitor Lee Daley on a countback for second place, Lee won the nearest to the pin.
NETBALL
Netball results saw Interdivision One narrowly go down 45 to 38, Interdivision three won 54 to 12. Interdivision Four also had a strong win 44 to 27. Our 12s team continued their domination of this age group with a 59 to 7 win.
They are taking on the other undefeated team next week so that will be a good game to really test them. Our 11s put up a valiant effort but lost 32 to 15. 10s also missed out by a few goals 14 to 5. If you are in Dubbo next week and want to cheer Nyngan on we have the 10s and Div 4 playing at 10am, 11s and 12s at 11.30.
Newly upgraded Div 2, Div 1 and B Grade Tigers are all at 1.30 and the B-grade Cougars are at 3pm. Good luck to the four Nyngan sides competing in the gala day on Sunday – 11s, 12s, Nyngan Cougars and another open side playing as Nyngan Harpil.

NYNGAN TIGERS
TREVOR WATERHOUSE
The Tigers took on the Jets in Narromine on Sunday and came away with victories in all four grades.
The girls took up from where they left off last week and were way too classy for the Jets.
Troy Richards has compiled a fairly impressive side, mixing a fair bit of youth with a couple of old girls like Kayla McKay, Jade Rose and Michelle Blake to guide the young ones around, well done girls.
The under 18s were a bit hot and cold we had a trouble completing a set in the first half and as a result we kept Narromine in the contest for a lot longer than they should have been.
When we decided to hang onto the footy we put together some pretty classy tries to run away with a convincing 48 to 16 victory.
Our last try was probably the best where the ball went through seven sets of hands and from one side of the field to the other before Harry Blake sent winger Bryce Hannaford over in the corner, the movement started from 60 metres out.
Our little men were prominent with fullback Mark Kirkpatrick dangerous every time he touched the ball, he scored one and had a hand in several others half back Harry Blake was sharp.
He and Coop have formed a pretty hand combination and will only improve as the season goes on.
Hooker Jak Jeffery was good once again, he organised his fowards and got us on the front foot, front rower Brody Parry also went well, good effort boys.
The reserve grade clash was done dusted at half time with Dek's men holding a matchin winning 32 to six lead.
At the break we clocked off in the last 10 minutes to allow the Jets to run in three consolation tries to seer the final score finish at 48 to 22. in favour of the Tigers.
Dek wouldn't be happy with the way we finished, but take that period out and we were pretty sharpe.
Front rowers Camo Bourke, Lee Wright, Jeff Lennon and big Messa were all prominent and the fitter these boys get the better we will go.
Lee-Roy got out of the nuddy run when he crashed over to open the scoring for the Tigers, and really the flood gates opened from there.
See the boys play at home on Sunday as we take on premiership winning team the Forbes Magpies.
TIGERS TOO GOOD FOR JETS
NICK GUTHRIE
A four-try haul from star centre Jone Yacadrau led the Nyngan Tigers to a commanding 50-24 win over the Narromine Jets on Sunday.
Hooker Reece Goldmsith was again back to his scheming best from hooker in the win, a result which gives the Tigers two victories from the opening three rounds.
In even more positive news for Stewart Mills’ side is the fact Nyngan is yet to play a match at home, where the atmosphere at Larkin Oval makes it notoriously difficult for away sides to take home the points.
While the hard-running Yacadrau and Goldsmith were the stars there was also strong performances from winger Jone Kerevi and forwards Benny Cokanasgia, Troy Evans and Western Rams under 23s player Norman Fuiava, who all scored in the 26-point win.
The Tigers scored nine tries in the win, with fullback Sam Simmonds scoring once and kicking five goals.
Corey Cox was Narromine’s best in the loss, the Jets third straight to start the season, scoring once and nailing all four conversions.
The only worry for the Tigers is the fact prop Todd Rope was put on report for an alleged crusher tackle by referee Mick Medlin.
Nyngan will play at Larkin Oval for the first time in 2017 next weekend when the defending premiers, Forbes Magpies, roll into town.
Narromine will again play at Cale Oval next round and will take on a Wellington Cowboys side which scored its first win of the season this weekend.
GRAND FINAL VENUE MAY CHANGE
The Group 11 grand final may be played somewhere other than Caltex Park this year, with each club currently investigating the logistics of hosting the biggest match of the season.
Dubbo’s showpiece facility has hosted all but one decider in the past 10 years, with all clubs coming to an agreement in 2012 Caltex Park, the standout ground in the competition, should host the grand final.
But with the costs involved in holding the event at Dubbo set to rise this year, Group 11’s board sent out an email to its clubs requesting information on council costs to stage the competition’s flagship day.
A decision will then be made at the game’s mid-season meeting, most likely on August 5.
“Dubbo is a wonderful venue and (Dubbo Regional Council interim general manager) Mark Riley has supported us,” Group 11 director of operations Paul Loxley said.
“Once we have all the facts we can make a decision but it will also come down to the amount of people who can go to the game and the facilities available.
“The cost (of holding the event at Dubbo) has gone up. Police and security (costs) as well. It’s significant.”
Loxley was unable to confirm what the rise was while Dubbo Regional Council Director Parks and Landcare Ian McAlister denied there would be a significant rise.
“No cost has been established,” he said.
“I’m not sure who they came up with that. What we’ve always done is look at the costs and what is sports specific and then they tell us what they want and we charge accordingly.”
McAlister added a lot of the time Dubbo Regional Council subsidises the costs on grand final day as well.
Loxley said specifics of any deal were not available at this time as he and the board was waiting on “the facts” of what each ground and club can offer.
Any matter relating to who would host the grand final, potentially the winner of the major semi-final, will not be finalised until the meeting in August.
“There’s every chance (the final could move) and clubs are now discussing options so we can know the facts,” he said.
It is also believed the cost of hosting the grand final at Caltex Park this season could be as high as $20,000, with the council’s rise in fees being claimed, the price of police and security to attend and other costs making it an expensive day for Group 11.
That, combined with the call for an increase in prizemoney in each grade makes it harder for the competition to turn a profit.
However, McAlister reiterated the fact no cost figure was in place and Dubbo Regional Council would be keen on hosting the event again.
“Not just Group 11 because we see the value of having these events in Dubbo,” he said.
“Dubbo has got, quite honestly, one of the best facilities west of the Blue Mountains and we want to ensure it gets used.”
Loxley did confirm Group 11 will continue its revenue sharing on grand final day. Each club will have a responsibility on grand final day, be it canteens, bars or raffles.
Also, the top four sides in the 2017 first grade competition are also guaranteed to host a match during the finals, something not always possible in the past.

BOGAN BULLS
The boys in blue returned from Cobar with a great win under their belt on Saturday.
The Bogan Bulls have returned to the winners circle with a 34 to 10 victory in the neighbouring shire.
The boys started at a blistering pace with centre Simon Bell scoring two tries in the first 10 minutes.
Cobar constantly turned over the ball or infringed giving the Bulls plenty of opportunities.
The Camels managed to regain possession long enough to put their own points on the board.
But not for long, as Gussy Currans dove over the try line to add more points to the Bulls score.
Sheridan Farley converted to see the score at 24 to five at half-time.
The Bulls were keen to keep the pace and intensity of the first half, but the Camels had other ideas, bringing their A-game onto the field after half-time.
Their defence did not allow the ball to get out to the eagerly waiting backs. Matt Siskovec, who has already had an injury-ridden season, left the field with a dislocated shoulder.
The Bulls were then drawn into a scrappy, scrum dominated event. Bulls supporters were keen to see new addition George Tuala get stuck into work in the front row.
"Bomber (Moxham) had a smile on his face as his new jackaroo had a fine game," Bull president Greg Moody said.
Jimmy Elias finally weaved his way through to spark his own try and some heavy work by man mountain Nathan Jones, opened up some space for skipper Craig Ticehurst to put the fifth try on the board for the Bogan Bulls.
"Three points this week was awarded to Gus Currans, who never has a bad game," Mr Moody said. "Two points to Brett Moody relishing his move to flanker and one point to Jim Elias."
Mr Moody said full credit had to be given to Cobar for a solid second half. "They can look forward to some better results after a slow start to the season," he said. Next week the Bulls will be travelling to Bourke for a must win game.
