Selected students from the Bogan Shire represented their schools in the CWA Public Speaking competition in Narromine earlier this month, with a handful of students moving on to the next round in Parkes.

Nyngan High School, Nyngan Public School, St Joseph’s Nyngan, Hermidale Public School and Girilambone Public School students gathered with students from Warren and Narromine for the annual competition.
Nyngan Public School’s Mia Cummings, Girilambone Public School’s Anita Lewis and Nyngan High School’s Jack Buchanan and Xander Wood will go on to represent Nyngan in Parkes for the next round of the competition.
The three speakers placed first or second in their age group.
The CWA organisers have thanked everyone who have contributed to the event, including the Bogan Shire Council.
