We were a bit scratchy early but once we found out rhythm the boys ran away with the game and were never really troubled.

First Grade
Big Tuini was powerful, he made huge metres with the footy and he also defended strongly as did captain coach Stewart Mills who pulled off a couple bone jarring tackles which had the Westside boys looking.
In the backs Jacob Neill was a stand out he is a powerful runner of the ball and made Westside look silly on a number of occasions.
Fullback Sam Simmons was also impressive.
Reserve Grade
Deka Knight’s men got back in the winners’ circle with a hard fought 28 to 18 victory.
Our boys had to fight all the way for this, and although it wasn’t our best performance we did enough when it mattered.
Big front rower Goog Bourke was impressive, he made a mile of ground and came up with a couple of tries.
He just needs to get a bit fitter and change his diet and he will be a real handful.

- Trevor Waterhouse
The Rolly Polly blokes in the back line; Stan Lord and Matty Sheather were also good.
Lord is close to unstoppable when he runs the footy.
He also lifted a couple in defence.
Big Jeff Lennon was also strong.
Under 18s
The under 18s were a bit like the reserve grade and only really did enough to win.
We held a 20 to 16 lead at half time and only added a further four points to that to see us run out as 24 to 16 victors.
The boys did defend well in the second half to hold Westside scoreless. I though Jacob Shone was good, he made good ground with the footy and was also strong in defence. Matty McDougall and Daniel Stanley were very good, Stanley made good ground every time he ran.
League Tag
The Girls put up a good show before going down 22 to four to the classy Westgirls. our girls tried hard and can be pleased with their effort.
