Sleeping late may be the best option on Sunday when the temperature in Nyngan is expected to drop to 0 degrees Celsius.
Colder-than-normal mornings have settled into the region in the first half of July 2017.
The long-term average minimum temperature for July is 3.8 degrees based on Bureau of Meteorology data collected since 1920.
But in the first 13 days of this month the average morning temperature has been just 0.5 degrees.
Sub-zero temperatures have been recorded six times, with the lowest – minus 1.2 degrees – on July 2.
But chilly mornings have been followed mostly by above-average daytime temperatures.
The long-term average maximum temperature for July is 16.4 degrees.
To July 13 the average daytime temperature for the month was 17.9 degrees.
The seven-day forecast reveals minimum temperatures at Nyngan will range from 0 to 7 degrees and maximum temperatures from 15 to 22 degrees between Saturday, July 15, and Thursday, July 20.
