Of the four passionate responses on the Facebook page three users were against Daylight Saving.
Cathryn Asimus said she “hates it”; Dianne Ross gave a thumbs down and Donna Maree Pump gave a definite “NO!”
Whereas Victoria Cleaver gave a positive emoji when we asked how people felt about it.
Mayor of the Bogan Shire, Ray Donald, has long said six months of Daylight Saving is too long, this year he has picked up his campaign to have it reduced.
“My views, I believe are shared by many rural and regional people, that six months is too long. A good trade-off for the retention of five months of daylight saving is March should not be included,” he said in this week’s Mayor’s Desk.
In March this year member for Barwon Kevin Humphries agreed with the Mayor.
“I have long said that Daylight Saving goes for a month too long and we as the National Party need to push to have it shortened,” he said.
The Narromine News Facebook page produced mixed reactions to the question as well.
Thirteen of 21 comments commented about their dislike for the changing of the clocks with many using the term “hate it”.
Some users like it but said it goes for too long.
"I don’t mind it but I am always glad when it finishes,” Julie Davies commented.
Lynne McDougall said: “Love but too long”.
Jayne Williams agrees: “Love Daylight Saving but putting a month either end sucks especially when you’re a shift worker!”
Kaye Dillion said she’s glad where she lives its not in play.
Kat Barnes said she “embraces the daylight,” and Patricia Kintworth agrees saying “love it.”
Chris Smyth said he doesn’t really bother him either way.
Kerryn Shearman and Kym Tominlinson-Ryan both agree they “love it”.
