Dr Auland spoke to farmers and people off the land about the importance of looking after themselves physically as well as mentally at the opening speaker of the presentation morning.
“Keeping healthy is important to survive dry times,” she said.
“You can feel comfortable talking about anything [at the medical centre]."
Dr Auland highlighted that everything at the Centre is confidential.
“We’re well staffed and we like to see you guys in there,” she said.
“We have two mental health workers and a psychiatrist, along with services through Telehealth.”
Dr Auland was one of the selected speakers.
The morning meeting featured presentations from the Local Land Services Vet, Ag ‘n’ Vet workers, a presentation by SheepConnect and other important messages.
It was organised by Carey Carter at Ag ‘n’ Vet Services.
