Their first interaction with Bogan Shire residents was a lunch stop at Coolabah organised by the Coolbah Progress Association led by Noelene Walsh.
“The riders were treated to a spectacular spread and unanimous praise was forthcoming,” South Dubbo Rotarian David Ringland said.
“The ride twas then officially welcomed by the Big Bogan before heading to the caravan park, donated by Dione and Jack Carter and Clive Robb.”
Dinner and the auction was held at the Bowling Club.
“Dinner was a great spread provided by great Nyngan cooks and volunteers led by Wendy Robb,” Mr Ringland said.
“The night was a great success and generated over $4000. Special mention should be made of Bogan Shire council who pledged $500 and Michael and Leonie Kennedy who donated a similar amount.
“The Rotary Club of Dubbo South would especially like to thank Rodney and Wendy Robb.”
