A good field of 34 players for the Irish Two Ball which has a 4BBB/aggregate/multiplier section.
The young bulls Matty Sheather and James Stanton were the day’s best with 72 points, the did well in all three formats with the aggregate part their best.
A golden duck on the 15th where they had three points times by zero which equals zero.
Otherwise their game was spot on.
Runnersup with 76 points were some other young bulls; Adi Spicer and Dean Woods.
They matched the winners stride for stride even with a golden duck on the 14th (two points times zero equals zero).
Even worse was Woodsie not scoring a point on the 10th in the aggregate section to help Adi’s birdie.
Rex and John Vane with a late charge managed 62 points, the pick of the 59s on a countback was Pete Murphy and Croc Read.
Pin winners were Chook, Adi, Les Dorrington and Tex Tomek.
Thank again to Steve and Merril for the day and surprise barbecue, the cooks and cleaners.
Staurday was the last of the monthly medals, Tex won with a narrow margin over Rex Vane and Barry Howell all square.
Dave Buggy and Tex were pin winners.
The mid-week competition was won by the guest player, Tex with 36 points.
The breaking news is that George Bennett knocked in the jackputt and collected $1900.
