Summer program to develop kids’ skills

The year’s end is fast approaching.

The Library will be closed for: Shire Christmas Party from 1.30pm to 3.30pm on Thursday December 14 and the Christmas and New Year period from December 25 and re-open Tuesday January 2.

We encourage all our readers to stock up for the Christmas New Year holiday period.

SUMMER READING PROGRAM IS HERE

The Summer Reading Program will again be held for the summer holiday period.

This program was initiated to encourage a continued love of reading and ongoing multi-skills development in children and young people during the summer holidays.

Registrations will commence from the 13th of December. 

This year the Summer Reading Club theme is “Game On”. Children need to read 10 books over the holiday period.

Every child will receive a certificate of participation and book prize and extra prize for 5 to9 year olds and 10 to 13 year olds.

SUMMER HOLIDAY PERIOD

The Library will also have craft mornings during the summer holidays: Thursday s January 20th and 27th and February 4th at 10.30 am.

NEW BOOKS READY FOR CHRISTMAS

The Library has lots of new books for juniors and adults ready for the Christmas break.Check  out our website, www.northwesternlibrary.com.au. There are too many titles to name so come in and see for yourself.

For Borrow Box: eaudio and ebooks with a larger number of ebooks and eaudios  to choose from since combining with other libraries.
