The 2013 SRC consists of two school captains, Jorja McPhee and Reuben Stapleton, two student leaders, Anne Smith and Jack Ryan and five SRC representatives, Thomas Hall, Logan Parry, Amy Motley, Ebony Martin and Jordan Willcockson.
During the next four terms these students will work with their peers to raise funds for many worthwhile charities.
Their first event for term 1 will be a school dance with proceeds going to the Clown Doctors.
This worthwhile charity helps to fund Clown Doctors who work with children in hospitals, touching the lives of more than 100,000 people every year.
They are now part of hospital life in all major children’s hospitals across Australia.
Library Monitors for 2013 are Robbie Robb, Amber Bates, Nikkita Weldon, Alexis McDermott, Emma Teale, Harley Yeomans, Jeffery Carter and Kyle Hall.
Library Monitors assist staff and students in the borrowing and returning of books.
They willingly give up some of their play time to carry out this very important role.
All students at Nyngan Public School are taking part in the 2013 Premier’s Reading Challenge.
The support of the Library Monitors encourages students to read regularly and hence complete the Premier’s Reading Challenge with enthusiasm.
Sports Monitor trainers for 2013 are Calub Cook, Col Piper, Terrence Ryan, Cooper Ryan and Jack Stanford.
These boys were Sports Monitors in 2012 and are now using acquired skills to train our 2013 Sports Monitors, Toby Smith, Tyler Martin and Jackson McPhee.
Nyngan Public School Sports Monitors maintain a tidy sports press, organise requested equipment for classroom fitness and playground equipment for recess and lunch. Sports Monitors and trainers encourage all students from Nyngan Public School as they take part in PSSA sporting teams, Gala Days and the Premier’s Sporting Challenge.
This combined with daily participation in the Crunch and Sip program motivates students to lead a healthy and active lifestyle.
Students at Nyngan Public School are provided with a variety of leadership opportunities.
They work co-operatively with both staff and peers, providing a cohesive, engaging, happy and safe learning environment in which students learn. The students of today are tomorrow’s leaders.
