Council has commissioned local woman, Alanna McHugh to conduct ‘business health checks’ in order to find out the needs and wants of the region’s businesspeople.
Mrs McHugh said council want an understanding in training and helping local businesses.
“They want to help them grow and develop, and ask them what would help whether it’s learning about finance or occupational health and safety, or human resources,” she said.
“Uncover what people don’t have in their business and report to council a summary of the gap.”
Mrs McHugh is hoping to have a one-on-one meeting with all the local businesses to find out the skills and knowledge gaps.
Mrs McHugh is hoping to meet with businesses the week of March 27. Contact her on alanna_mchugh@yahoo.com.au or Abigail at the Shire on 6835 9000.
