Despite going down 38 to 17, the scoreline did not reflect the level of rugby played at Larkin Oval on Saturday.
Bogan Bulls president Greg Moody said the game was outstanding.
“There was aggression by both sides, bone-jarring hit ups and crunching tackles featured in the first half,” he said.
“The difference between the teams was the Rams’ ability to to capitalise on half a chance whereas the Bulls missed a couple of mini-breaks.”
Prop Nathan Jones crashed over the line for a first-half try while Sheridan Farley continued great form of his goal-kicking duties by converting the try and a penalty before the half-time hooter.

The Bulls found themselves down 24 to 10 at half-time.
The Bulls were confident of working their way back into the game but the Rams had no intention of backing off.
“Dom Kennedy made a devastatingly long-range raid on the line and was rewarded with a try. Farley’s accurate boot took the score to 31 to 17,” Moody said.
“Walgett scored a late converted try to take the game and continued their fairytale season.”
Taking out the points for the game was consistent player Tommy Cleaver getting three points, rookie Fletcher Jackson took home two and one point was awarded to veteran player Dom Kennedy who also took out Players’ Player.
A keen and confident second-grade Bulls team took the field for the reserve-grade game, but the majority of the side were first-grade players who backed up.
The skill and fitness level was too much for the Bulls who played some good rugby.
A few players made their debut including Dean Jeffery, Jacob Phillips, Matt Logston and cult hero Simon Bartley.
Adi Spicer, Camo Bourke and Andrew Burley got through a lot of defence and hurt the opposition whenever they ran the ball.
“Full credit to all the boys for a strong performance against a quality opponent,” Moody said.
Final score was 10 to nil to Walgett.
The Bulls travel to Brewarrina for the final draw game.
