Officially opened on Monday, the Learning Hub is not just a place students can go to for books, it is much more, offering technology, a flexible learning environment, games and somewhere quiet for the students to hang out.
Teacher/Library Ngaire Booth is the brains behind the Learning Hub.
“It’s more flexible, there’s more furniture, we’ve had an English Drama class in here,” Ms Booth said.
There has also been an upgrade in technology.
“Children can search for books from home or the teacher can share a video or film for the children to watch at home, gets rid of the prep so it’s all active learning at school,” Ms Booth said.
The Sidney Myer Foundation also added to an advanced in technology allocating $10,000 for news laptops for the Learning Hub.
