Mr Donohue has been an Elvis fan since he was a kid growing up with his music. “He had everything, he was flamboyant, like his stage presence and voice," he said.
Mr Donohue sang a number of Elvis’ greatest hits including Suspicious Minds and Kentucky Rains. However the highlight was participating in the Gospel Service where he sang alongside tribute artists from the UK and America, including Sista Jacqui, world class gospel singer from the USA.
"The atmosphere is unbelievable, everyone has a great time. You don't have to be an Elvis fan to enjoy it because the atmosphere's great."
Mr Donohue is off to the Tamworth Country Music Festival where he will perform about five shows, including a Jim Reeves tribute show and a variety of performances showcasing his own work. For almost 20 years Mr Donohue has been participating in the festival. "It's awesome, everyone's there for a good time. This year my girls are busking with me as well … it’s a family event, people seem to love it.”
