The renal dialysis unit commenced building in August, is now being used. It has four beds and more staff will be gradually trained to operate it. There is also a dialysis unit in Warren. New curtains are in the Garden wing and the 'Hostel' end. The hospital or correct term multi-purpose Health Service has been in operation ten years in June this year. We welcome everyone to our next meeting in the hospital meeting room, Friday 16th March 2pm.
Nyngan Red Cross
Congratulations to Katie White of the Red Cross 'Hub' on receiving the Australia Day Citizen's award. Katie works on programs separately from our small Red Cross branch but is always ready to help us at any time. Unfortunately, last year we had to disband our Emergency Service team as it dwindled to three members
and we would have had to leave town to update our skills. Our branch always gives a small grift to the patients and residents of the hospital at Christmas time. Many patients don't have family living locally and some have no family at all. To continue our work we meet next Wednesday, March 14 at 2pm at the Library. All welcome!
