March 3, Men Pennant teams No 3 travelled to Baradine on Saturday and winning two out of three rinks and won the overall board coming home 9/1 winners. Sunday Men’s pennant teams No 7 travelled to West Dubbo and very pleased to say they also won two of the three three rinks and the big board with overall victory 9/1. Congratulations to both grades. Nyngan Ladies pennant teams three and four played Dubbo City at home and won all games in both grades to finish with a score five/nil. If you notice the men scores different from the women. Nyngan Pennants 3 and 4 play in Nyngan Saturday, March 10. Make it a day at the bowling club. Sunday, March 11 Pennants 3 and 4 go to Dubbo city.

Major Singles: Tristan Dal Forno defeated Wayne Kearns.
Major Pairs: Craig Grimmond and Tristan Dal Forno defeated Tim and Mick Walsh in a very close and of the highest standard with 14 all after twenty ends with Craig and Tristan winning the last end.
Major Singles: Jacob Homer defeated Colin Gillespie.
Tuesday Golden Oldies: Winners Mick McGlynn, Alison Hampstead and Phil Gibson. Nyngan Bowling Club will be hosting Go Fund Me bowls day for Jason (Fishy) Smith. Jason has been diagnosed with Motor Neuron disease and is no longer able to carry on in the work force. Anthea (nee Wynne) and Jason and their young family would appreciated any assistance and this why the Bowlo would like everyone to attend this bowls day and get behind this family. Clay Target Shooting
Held at Hermidale Gun Club for February. Due to the very hot conditions attendances were down. However, competition was good and some top scores were handed in.
Event 1: 10 target eye opener. Cash divide Sid Kinsey, Ron Sullivan
Event 2: 20 target double barrel. A. grade S.Kinsey, B. grade Ron Sullivan, C.grade Jason Mitchell.
Event 3: 30 target medley. First Ron Sullivan, second S.Kinsey.
Event 4: 30 target handicap. First Jason Mitchell 30-30, second S.Kinsey.
Event 5: 20 target single barrel. A.grade S.Kinsey, B.grade Ron Sullivan, C.grade Jason Mitchell.
Event 6: 20 target continental. A.grade S.Kinsey, B.grade Ron Sullivan, C.grade Jason Mitchell.
Jason Mitchell won the Jack Edgell Trophy for February with a 30-30 score, and also high gun. The scores from Peter Reece, Fay Neill, Jim Neill and Bill Dewhurst must have slipped past the scorer. Better luck next month. Due to the Nationals being held at the end of March, the Jack Edgell and mixed target shoot offs will be held on April 28, 12 noon start, followed by the AGM.
Golfing News
Macquarie Electrics with 48 points were the best of Round 19. Matt Sheather starred with a pair of birdies and a stack of pars. Not far behind him was team mate Sarah Walsh who scored 15 points in five holes. Mandy and Simon were there when needed. The leaders are ‘Crack N Plumbers’ 27 points, Macquarie Electrics with 25 point. Then there is Hawley Par Tee and Rough Nuts on 23 points. Five was a popular number with Maree Ross scoring 5 pints on the seventh. Jacko having five putts on the eighth and Mandy’s team having their fifth weekly win. Just two laps to go and the only certainly is that the Rough Nuts will finish with 27 points. Saturday par event was won by Greg Matherson with plus two, Les Dorrington plus one had the game won but came a cropper with wash-out on the last three holes. Tex and Joh Wynne had a pair of minus one. No Pin winners which will jack pot. Sunday’s new format had 36 players. Teams of three playing Stableford with a three, two, one system. The girls stood out with Ali Morriss, Janine Tulene, John Wynne racking up 43 points. A birdie by Ali on the fifth gave them a narrow margin over Marree Rose, Sam Keating, Mick Beetson with 42 points. Not far away with 40 points was the three sisters Jodi, Mandy and Kirsty. Pin winners were Matho and Dang Holmes. The course will be closed from March 19 for three weeks for the new watering system to be installed. Badge draw is for $1300, the jack post is around $1400. John Wynne was another one to just miss his attempt last week.
