This year 18 riders from across Australia cycled their way through NSW over six days, travelling 440 kilometres.
The journey began at Willie Retreat at the Maquarie Marshes from where they travelled 90 kilometres to Nyngan for the first stop of the trip.
Organiser Lyle Paul said the first day was “an easy 100 kilometres” to Nyngan completed entirely on asphalt, however the rest of the journey was the test which was completed on dirt tracks.
“Day two to Warren was a fairly easy 80 kilometres with some dirt, the third day to Collie was a bit harder with some cross wind and some more dirt.”
“Heading to Gulargumbone was quite hard with a head wind and more dirt roads.”
“The dirt roads don't bother us it is all but it was the wind direction,” Mr Paul said.
The annual social bike ride came about through a passion and appreciation for the history of transport.
