Nyngan Day View held a successful April meeting and luncheon at the Australian Hotel, with fourteen ladies. Unfortunately I was unable to attend to enjoy the beautiful meal and the reading by Norma Jeffery about Ruth Green a passed member, and a reading by Barbara Holmes about Henry Lawson and his poem 'The Outback', well done ladies. Nyngan Day View will meet next on May 2, venue Nyngan RSL Club's Bowlers Bar at 12noon. This meeting will be our Mother's Day luncheon, and it was decided to have a 'HANDKERCHIEF SWAP' just for fun. The guest speaker for May will be Louise Lovett, local lady to talk on poetry and read her read her own poetry. Thank you to Deidre Neil who will be donating the raffle for May and Dianna Hughes the lucky door.
