It was a pleasure to relax in the sun on the green lawn surrounded by colourful shrubs, trellised vines and thriving succulents with a collection of beautiful potted geraniums.
The array of hanging novelty objects of various shapes and colours added to the delight of the venue as well as the interesting metal sculptures along the driveway.
Our guest speaker was Wendy Clissold who spoke about traditional Japanese floral art.
This form of flower arranging is known as ikebana and is quite simple, yet effective.
Wendy had brought along several pieces of greenery and flowers, and demonstrated how easy it is to create a lovely arrangement
She passed around a number of printed sheets showing colourful ideas for us to try.
