By the end of 2017 the Nyngan branch of Royal Far West had eight local members. Due to low numbers, meeting have only been every two months to discuss our fundraising activities. Our fundraising efforts in 2017 included a street stall and a stall at the Nyngan Ag Expo. The local community donated items of scones, cakes, slices and Mary Parry's famous pickles which are very popular in Nyngan.

In 2017 we held three raffles which included a load of wood donated by Bernie and Mary Anne Bourke. A fruit and veg tray donated by Khan's IGA Nyngan and a toy raffle with items donated by the Nyngan chemist. We also had the foyer at the Nyngan RSL which bought in $500 to the RFW.
Dennis Callaghan also helped to collect aluminium cans which he takes to Dubbo and cashes them in every two months which brings in nearly $200 each trip. RFW money boxes are also placed in local business which are collected every two to three months and is another source of donations.
The Nyngan RFW branch has collected $6000 as dated from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017 and another $2000 has since been raised also. Making a grand total of $8000 for 2017. Thank the community of Nyngan for all their generosity of goods and items that have been donated to help us raise money for the Royal Far West. We also have to thank the community for buying tickets and items at our street stalls so we can reach this amazing amount.
