Hcp Pairs Saturday Rick Jermyn and Tristan Dal Forno defeated Tim and Mick Walsh.

Mixed Triples Rick Jermyn Maxine Christoff and Barry Beetson defeated Jake Waterhouse, Jenny Parry and Barry Beetson.

It was brass monkey weather for the weekend golf. The Foursomes Championships attracted a field of 22 players on Sunday and we had first time winners in both the ladies and men.

Deb Matheson and Dolly Ryan have won plenty of individual championships but this was their first maiden Foursomes title. 

The hardest game of all, they had some good and bad holes and more importantly played the Pal 3s very well, runners up were the old timers Jenny Holmes and Judy Read, try as they might they couldn’t reign in Deb and Dolly.   

Handicap winners were Viv Pateman and Janine Tulemore who had a few shockers along the way.  The men’s winner with 115 score was Tex and John Wynne, they broke the forty mark every nine although Wynnie never got past the ladies tee on the 13^th. 

Runners up were Anthony Ah-See and Les Dorrington  four shots adrift, good holes and then some Barry Crockers. Handicap honours went to Tony and Tim Lewis with 103.5 nett on a count back over Greg and Nate Matheson.  Both teams put their partners in some unbelievable situations ie Nate putting dad besides the ladies tenth with his tee shot on the first.  

Pin winners  were a couple of veterans in Ossie Smith and Pat. Speaking of Veterans there were 36 players  in the postponed Vet's last Thursday 30 points was the best anyone could muster, Ashley Bullock was the overall winner, he’s from Narromine, Ozzie was the runner-up. 

Division A went to Tex on the same score Colin Arther McCarthy was victorious in Division B  with 37 points.  A good days golf helped by many volunteers at the forefront with the ladies,  Gai, Dolly, Deb, Jen, Ali, Judy, Lesley and Helen also Rob, Dave and Don lent a hand.   

Tex took our Saturdays game with 30pts a couple better than John Wynne. The ladies are off to Coonamble to contest the famous "Rose Bowl", good luck to them. At home we have the July Medal 18 Holes Stableford on Saturday and a four Ball on Sunday, Croc Read missed out on $757 with his near miss putt.  Badge draw is for $1700 this week.

Rehanaat,trained at Parkes by Sharon Jeffries for Phil Easman,made it four Cup wins from the last five starts when taking out the feature race at Nyngan on Saturday.

Ridden by Scone based Ashley Boyd, Rehanaat ($5.50) travelled in fourth position  and then finished strongly down the centre of the track to win the Three Rivers Machinery Duck Creek Picnic Cup (1250 metres) by a length from Austin (Maddison Wright, $4.20) And Flatley’s Fortune (Wesley Boyd, $7.50).

Following a win in the Trangie Gold Cup,the six year old chestnut mare Rehanaat won the Grenfell Picnic Cup and then was a dead heat for first with Track Flash in the Marthaguy Picnic Cup before finishing fourth in the Gulgong Cup and winning the Cup at Duck Creek Picnics held at Nyngan.

Ashley Boyd also rode Rehanaat for Sharon Jeffries and Phil Easman when winning the 2017 Duck Creek Picnic Cup from Didyahearme and Emerald Fortune.

Nyngan trainer Rodney Robb and south coast jockey Maddison Wright have been a formidable combination over recent seasons  and they had a winning treble with Blue Channel ( Maiden Plate, 900 metres ), Bulbadah ( Class 2 Handicap, 900 metres ) and Bells ‘N’ Bows ( Class B Handicap ( 1250 metres ).

Owned by John Smith from Gilgandra, Blue Channel  ( $3.20 to $2.10 favourite ) after racing close to the lead cleared out to score by nearly seven lengths from Sutton ( Caitlin King,$6 ) and High Tail It ( Ashley Boyd, $6 ).

Bulbadah ( $3.50 ) raced by David and Heather Ringland from Dubbo and the Wayne Brown owned Bells ‘N’ Bows ( backed from $2.20 to $1.60 favourite ) both tracked the leaders before taking control in the straight.

The well bred five year old mare Trajectory,raced by media personality Tim Moses and trained at Dubbo by his partner Cindy Monaghan,was heavily supported in the betting ring ( $4.60 to $2.70 favourite ) before winning the Rob Ellison Memorial Class 1 Handicap,1600 metres,with Ricky Blewitt in the saddle.

Fifth to the hometurn, Trajectory won by over two lengths from Whinna Whiskey (Maddison Wright, $4) with Al Artois (Ashley Boyd, $10) four lengths away third.

A valuable broodmare prospect,Trajectory is a three quarter sister to Group One winner  Duro Valley.

Trained at Cobar by Wayne Prisk for Jarrod Marsden, Vonnida (Wesley Boyd, $6) was very impressive when coming from a long way back to win the 900 metres Open Handicap from Lulu’s Destiny (Maddison Wright, $2.50 fav.) and Mr Swift (Ricky Blewitt, $3.80).

Duck Creek Picnics attracted a record crowd.
