Team spirit is high in this side of ladies and their unwavering support for decisions made concerning court positions and amount of individual court time show they are cohesive and working as one team for the common goal of progressing as far as possible this year.
The ladies are playing very commanding netball coming into the final rounds.
On Saturday they were determined and played with absolute conviction in all areas of the court. Sonia, Britt and Casey H were on point again with strong defence.
Rebounding nearly every opposition missed attempt and achieving plenty of intercepts, the girls showed the opposition's shooters what they were made of.
Midcourt was efficient and controlled by Emily, Stacey, Skye, Alison and Kirsty.
They were like a well oiled machine bringing the ball down court, gaining a number of valuable turnovers and also showing great patience when needed in feeding the ball to our shooters Kasey, Stacey and Emma.
Games are not won without the goals going in and go in they did. The shooters made life for opposition defence very difficult by timing their movements and dominating the circle. Final score was a convincing 40 to 26.
The encouragement from the sidelines by quite a large number of supporters this week did not go unnoticed and was certainly appreciated.
With one round to before semi finals Nyngan seems well placed to possibly have five out of six teams making it through with a couple looking good for a major semi.
Other results from Saturday were : 10s were defeated nine to 21 and currently sitting fourth. 12s won 55 to 23 and in sixth place overall.
Division 3 Yellow won 36 to 29 and are in fourth place. Tattoos they wore for Shelley to remember her for her birthday the following day ensured they were always going to win! Division 3 Black won 33 to 26 and in second place overall.
Division 1 won 39 to 30 and in second place currently. B grade had a win by forfeit and sitting in fourth place needing to win this week to maintain this spot.
Good luck to the Nyngan Junior Football teams that are progressing to the finals this Saturday and a big congrats to those teams that won their major semi last week and have progressed straight to grand final Saturday week. Go the Mighty Tigers.
Smile for Shelley
Nyngan Tigers Yellow played for their friend Shelley on Saturday as she would have turned 14 on August 19.
The girls wore pineapple socks as everyone knows that she loved pineapples and they also wore "Smile for Shelley" tattoos on their arms. Shelley played with these girls for many years and she is greatly missed. They celebrated this game with a big win.

Scott of the Antarctic would have been right at home in Nyngan’s blizzard like weekend conditions. A field of 32 fronted for Sundays meat tray day. The sponsors Reg, Brendan, Pat and Tex were over the moon with the roll up on such an ordinary day.
It was a four Ball Aggregate with the winning score being 76 points Les Dorrington and John Wynne were the culprits scoring very close to half each. Right on their hammer with 75 points were Ozzie Smith and Codge McCarthy the cowl was their undoing with a ball in the water, putting them in an awkward position.
Tim and Janine Tulenew returned 74 points, Janine count-back Jamie Dragon Barrow and Andy Panther Lang snared the last meat tray with 72 points. Individual winners also for meat trays were Tara McDermott 38 points and Dave Buggy 40 points.
NTP for the men were Tex Tomek and Ozzie Smith, both the ladies pins were won by Mandy Martin. Robbs Butchery supplied the meat trays and a rating of ten out of ten for them.
On behalf of the sponsors life member Reg came down from the hill to present the prizes, thanks to all the players who soldiered on in the awful conditions.
Saturday was a Par event with a few welcome visitors Neil and Ruth Buggy from Maitland and John Brian trying his hand at the game.
An excellent round by Deb Matheson who won by a country mile with + five in that score she also managed a couple of wash-outs.
Number one son Nate was the runner up with + three, Brent Harris and Rex Vane were ball winners with +one each, Young Nate was the Pin winner. A trio of very experienced Golfers had the humiliating golfers nightmare, an air swing Dave, Jenny and Pat, keep the head down is a sure remedy.

Continuing a run of good form the six-year-old chestnut mare Art ‘N’ Ollie was a stylish winner of the $12,000 Collie Hotel-Collie Cup (1300 metres) before a big crowd on Saturday at Gilgandra. Raced by David Baxter and family from the Macquarie Stud at Wellington and trained by Dean Mirfin at Bathurst,Art ‘N’ Ollie was a last start winner at Forbes after finishing a close second to subsequent Sydney winner Our Dasha at Warren.
Quickly away from a wide barrier, Art ‘N’ Ollie ( $3.30 favourite ) in the Collie Cup was given a nice run by Eleanor Webster-Hawes behind the leader Grass Cutter before breaking clear to win by nearly two lengths from Zoutenant ( Ken Dunbar, $19 ) and Pippi’s Pride ( Leanne.G.Henry, $4.80 ).
