Local beneficiaries also included the Nyngan Hospital for new equipment, Days for Girls to support women overseas and the City 2 Surf’s Team Toby for the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle.
President of the Duck Creek committee Rowen Cleaver said this year they are proud to be not only sponsoring Dolly’s Dream to raise awareness about the serious implications of bullying, but also getting behind the local community.
“I’m very proud and honoured to be involved with this hard working committee and the Nyngan community which has shown such generosity to give these figures to Dolly’s Dream and to support local organisations and community groups,” Mr Cleaver said.
“It was such a fantastic day, and we have successfully entertained 5500 well behaved people,” he said.
Mr Cleaver said the committee worked tirelessly to ensure they shopped and supported local business, and discussed how the day continues to be a draw card for the town, drawing hundreds from across NSW.
“It’s not only an important social day for the community, the event brings an extensive amount of people from out of town, who would otherwise never have visited Nyngan.

“They also bring very valuable business to the town, especially during these times of drought,” Mr Cleaver said.
Mr Cleaver thanked everyone who generously contributed their time for the event helping out. “We couldn’t have put together such an incredible event without the generous help from the wonderful people in our community," he said.
“I would like to offer a big thank you to the rugby club and the support from their friends and families who were the backbone of our workers on the day.”
Despite Shannon Noll’s abusive filled tirade after a member of the crowd threw a beer can at him mid-concert, Mr Cleaver is assuring next year is set to be bigger and better.
“There’s no such thing as bad publicity, Shannon certainly put Nyngan on the map,” Mr Cleaver said.
“Stay tuned, negotiations are already underway to trump Nollsie.”
