Taking a day off from farming life to prioritise wellbeing may seem frivolous in the current climate, however the knock-on benefits to the health of individuals, their families and that of the broader community have been proven time and time again.
The sessions will focus on creating ways to recharge, manage stress and looking after yourself to be better placed physically and mentally to look after others in these stressful times.

Based on the highly successful ‘Energetic women in the environment’ workshops conducted in Yeoval by Little River Landcare, three events have been organised for Coonabarabran, Tottenham and Bedgerebong on September 24, 25 and 26 respectively, with experienced presenters Rachel Kerin and Narelle Hunter.
Previous attendee Kim Job of Toongi said the workshop was interactive and focused on health and mindfulness for the whole body.
“Both speakers addressed the areas of work/life balance, body awareness and health ramifications of busy lifestyles. We learnt some excellent techniques to implement in our everyday life” Ms Job said.
Rachel Kerin founder of Kerin Physio Co, Rachel Kerin, is passionate about helping women achieve a healthy lifestyle and said the workshops aims to inspire, empower and educate attendees on ways to maximise their health.
Narelle Hunter, founder of Blissfully Present is a Mindfulness coach, mother of four, a farmer’s wife of 26 years is well aware of the need to reduce and manage the stresses on a farming family.
“It’s so important to take some time to reflect on our long term health and what we can do today to manage these challenging times, with an inspiring day by day approach.” Ms Hunter said.
