About 2am on Saturday, September 15, police investigated a vehicle conducting burnouts on Pangee Street.
According to police facts, while police attempted to stop the vehicle the white Toyota Landcruiser failed to stop, and police engaged in a pursuit with the driver.
The pursuit continued for about two-kilometres before the offender veered off onto a dirt track.
The pursuit was terminated by police for safety reasons, however after conducting inquiries the accused was arrested the following day.
The man faced Nyngan Local Court on September 24 where he plead guilty. The matter has been adjourned until November 26 for sentencing.
Police are reminding residents of the serious nature of disobeying road rules and also appealed to road users not to take risks.
