The Tigers suffered a tough 2018 season with the first grade side not featuring in the finals and low numbers appearing at training, however Neill said the 2019 season is looking very promising.
“There's a long way to go yet, but it all looks very positive,” Neill said.
“Our new coach has settled in well and we've picked up a few other players and the talk's all positive.”
“While talk doesn't win you games, I'm sure we're going to be pretty competitive in 2019,” he said.
The club have announced Qube Logistics as their new major sponsor for the season, who were eager to support the local sporting club.
General Manager of business development for Qube Logistics Mike Hughes said the regional operator decided they wanted to be part of the community rather than just be a visitor.
“We've worked pretty closely with a few of the guys here and ... we thought we just want to give something back for welcoming us to the community,” Hughes said.
“Rather than being an organisation that comes in and takes, and gives nothing back, we're a bit different.”
Neill is pleased Qube Logistics have jumped on board for the 2019 season and said improvements to Larkin Oval are another win not just for the Tigers, but for the town.
“It’s been great, mainly due to George through his work at the mines, he had an opportunity to talk to them and they seemed quite happy to come in and support a local supporting event,” Neill said.
“We're here with our lights not only on the footy field, but on the netball court as well, and some new seats are going in the grandstand and there’s new bitumen.”
“For a town like Nyngan we've got a great facility and this is just a mega improvement that took years and years of putting in for grants and we finally got lucky.”
Mr Hughes said the boys are very excited to visit to watch the Tigers embrace the 2019 season.
Qube Logistics are one of Australia’s largest integrated logistics companies, which runs from paddock to port.
