Golf
The most successful players over the holiday period have been Brendan Smith and Janine Tulenew, both with a lot trick of wins and Eagles on the 13th by Nate Matherson last weekend.
The longest driver for the girls is undoubtedly Sarah Walsh who whacked the ball way past the blue marker on the seventh.
Saturdays Stableford winner with 41 points was Mick Beetson, a fine front of 23 points laid a solid start to his round.
John Wynne fared the best of the rest with 38 points then Tex with 34 points.
The Irish four ball game was Sundays menu.
Coming good at the end in the Multiplier Section was Greg Matheson and Janine Tulenew with 34 points they swamped the early leaders Croc Read and Andy Lane on the lucky last where Matho and Janine scored nine points while Croc and Andy scored a big fat duck and stalled on 30 points.
Reasonable rounds by Tex and Jamie and Pat and the Chip-in-King Lewie.
The ladies were back for a mid-week game, Janine was too good for the rest with 21 points, Mandy 19 points and Jenny 17 points went OK.
Pin winners for the week were Mimo and Lewie the rest go into a Jackpot.
Twilight golf kicks off again this week, the ones to catch are Rough Nuts 16 points then Macquarie Electrics 15 points.

Bowling
New Year was welcomed in at the bowling club with great music supplied by the JJs and social bowls.
what a finish to 2018 it was with extremely hot weather and dust storm late afternoon followed later by rain.
We had a good roll up of bowlers who were brave enough to take on the conditions only to get wet and very cold by the end of the game. Congratulations to all winners.
Wednesday night bowls Winners Rex and Samantha Vane, second place Ron Smith, Wayne Kearns and Dianne Smith.
It is really great to see such a good roll up of 24 bowlers for the night.
Saturday Night twilight bowls instead of Friday night. Saturday, February 12 Twilight bowls with 18 players and the lucky winners were Baden and Shelby. Second place went to Adrian and Kayne Taylor.
Saturday at 7pm February 19 twilight will be played.
Australia Day at the Bowling Club is the place to go for a family fun afternoon and twilight bowls.
Saturday, February 26 from 3.30pm Kids disco and karaoke, face painting and Aussie theme tattoos plus yabbie
races. There will be a sausage sizzle at 6pm followed by twilight bowls at 7pm
There will be a pennant trial on Sunday, February 10.

Won in a $25 a ticket raffle held in 2015, the now five year old mare Tennessee Pasha took prize money earnings to $37,790 when winning the Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club Class 1 Handicap ( 1100 metres )at the Wellington TAB meeting on Sunday.
Parked behind the leading pack by Adrian Robinson, Tennessee Pasha ( $13 ) burst through a gap to beat Moon Over Menah ( Billy Cray, $17 ) by a length with a further half head margin to third placed Sikum ( $21 ) ridden by Billy Cray.
Jared Wykes, now a Vice President of Wellington Race Club, was the holder of the winning ticket in the 2015 Wellington Boot yearling raffle and took home the filly sired by Husson and produced by Tennessee Red.
Presently trained at Dubbo by Darren Hyde, Tennessee Pasha also won a Maiden Handicap when trained by Karen McCarroll at Wellington.
In a remarkable coincidence, Barsan the prize in the 2016 Wellington Boot yearling raffle and trained by Karen McCarroll finished second in the Allandale Merino Stud Maiden Handicap ( 1400 metres ) at Wellington on Sunday.
At only the fourth start in a race, Barsan ( Greg Ryan, $9 ) worked home well to be runner up to the Alison Smith, Orange trained Audio Bay ( Tony Cavallo, $4.80 ) which had raced in the lead from the outset.
The good performances of Tennessee Pasha and Barsan continue the remarkable success rate of yearlings won in the raffle at the Wellington Boot carnival.
Bounty Belle , a winner at Wellington on Boxing Day, again displayed a liking for the track when winning the Geronimo Farm Equipment Benchmark 58 Handicap ( 1400 metres ) on Sunday.
Trained at Wellington by Les Bryant, Bounty Belle ( Jake Pracey-Holmes, $7.50 ) led throughout for a two lengths win over Northern Conqueror ( Qin Yong, $12 ) and Westlink ( Ashleigh Stanley, $2.50 favourite.
From the Justin.W.Stanley stable at Narromine, the ten year old gelding Wollartant ( $2.20 favourite )continues to race well and with Jake Pracey-Holmes in the saddle was an all the way winner of the State Wide Sheds Benchmark 58 Handicap ( 1600 metres ) from A Wild Enemy’s Pick ( Tony Cavallo, $9 ) And Unresolved ( Qin Yong,$5 ).
Hawkesbury trainer Garry White had a winning double with Cool One ( Greg Ryan, $1.60 fav.) and Paris In May ( Mathew Cahill, $2.20 fav.) while Warwick Farm trainer Bjorn Baker following a winning double at the Gold Coast Magic Millions meeting the previous day won at Wellington with Horn ( Greg Ryan, $3.40 ) at Wellington.
The Cowra Cup and Cowra Japan Cup feature at Cowra on Sunday followed by Parkes on Australia Day and Bathurst on Tuesday, January 29.
