Bogan Shire Council General Manager Derek Francis said he is excited about the opportunity this will provide for both local residents and tourists to use the pathway for walking, cycling and other activities.

“We have received a number of positive comments about the walking track around the weir pool,” Mr Francis said.
“This new pathway links that to our main street via our museums and helicopter which are key tourist attractions,” he said.
He said the section of new pathway along Nymagee Street uses existing trees on its northern side, and trees will be planted between the new path and the railway line to provide shade.
Mr Francis said that Council was grateful to the NSW Government for funding to allow this project to take place.
Bogan Shire Council are carrying out the work.
