Residents at the Nyngan Health Service have celebrated Valentine's Day with a special morning tea admiring wedding photos of the past.
Nyngan Health Service Manager Jenny Griffiths said when deciding the monthly activities it was elected to host a morning tea, however it was one resident who suggested making it wedding themed.
Ms Griffiths organised residents and staff to bring in their wedding photos to put on display. It was during morning tea that residents and staff made a game of it picking who the photo belongs to.
"One resident suggested we could have wedding photos or something," Ms Griffiths said.
"I thought everyone can bring in a wedding photo and we can stick them up and then during morning tea we all tried to guess who was who in the wedding photos."
"It was pretty cool because some people I had no idea who they were."
Ms Griffiths said it was a wonderful morning enjoyed by both residents and staff admiring the dresses and wedding themes.
"We had lovely cake and lovely morning tea," she said.
"The ladies Auxiliary always excel themselves and have the decorations hanging around everywhere, so it certainly felt something exciting was happening."
"The residents keep asking if we can do it again soon … so we will have to think about the next one, we are thinking babies or children."
