Former union boss David Hanna insists an extremely drunk woman who claims he raped her hours after they met was a consenting participant throughout their sexual encounter.

The ex-CFMEU Queensland state president has told a Brisbane District Court jury she was also conscious when he performed sexual acts on her at her Taigum home on March 4, 2017.
When asked at his rape trial on Wednesday if he had forced himself onto the younger woman, Hanna said: "No I did not."
Crown prosecutor Michael Lehane says Hanna, 54, took advantage of the woman's intoxication when he followed her into her home.
"I'm suggesting you knew she was helpless, and you took advantage of her vulnerabilities by having non-consensual sexual activity," Mr Lehane suggested to Hanna.
"No," he replied.
Hanna has pleaded not guilty to three counts of rape and a charge of recording in breach of privacy.
There is no dispute Hanna had sex with the woman, but it will be for the jury to decide if she gave consent, and was able to at the time.
Hanna recalled in court meeting the woman around midnight at Eleven rooftop bar in Fortitude Valley during a night out with friends.
He testified offering to help her get home after bar security told her to leave because she was so drunk, and said she fell asleep at one point during the cab ride to her townhouse.
She is seen laying on Hanna and resting her head on his shoulder in photographs taken inside the cab and shown to the jury.
Hanna is also seen groping her breast.
He kicked in her front door because the woman, who cannot be identified, had lost her keys.
"I said 'Look, nine times out of 10 we can find a way to get in'," Hanna told the court.
"From the building industry, I know that a lot of the houses that are built in this day and age, the doors are quite flimsy and don't take much to open."
Hanna detailed the sex acts he says they performed on each other, and says he'd struggled to get an erection before having unprotected sex with her.
He used his phone to film himself digitally penetrating her, believing he was taking photographs, which he says she agreed to.
"I didn't have my glasses on and it was kind of blurry so I've actually zoomed in on the phone at the same time, I guess like a magnifying glass," he said.
He says he then continued to use the screen as a visual aid because he couldn't see properly, and later asked her to strike a "sexy pose" for him to photograph.
Hanna said he stepped in dog poo in the hallway as he was leaving the home, but wiped it onto a bathroom mat.
The jury will hear closing submissions on Thursday.
