About 100 people turned out to start the day commemorating the Anzacs who sailed into Gallipoli 104 years ago.
President of the Sub-Branch, Derek Francis, was among those who spoke about the Anzacs and their fight for freedom all those years ago, touching upon Vietnam veteran, Lachlan Irvine's poem.
"You who have so much. Pause awhile in this sacred place. With the beauty of life all around you. And look upon the names; The names of those who also had so much. And gave it all," Mr Francis recited.

The Dawn Service was the first of many services for the RSL Sub-Branch members and the community.
Following the 6am service was a breakfast at the RSL. At 9am ex-servicemen and community members gathered at the Cemetery to pay tribute to those who died for their country.
The march will form at the RSL from 10.30am and will leave for the Cenotaph at 10.45am.
The official wreath laying ceremony will take place at 11am with this year's address being given by Former Australian Special Air Service officer, Lieutenant Colonel Rowan Tink.
The Lieutenant Colonel became widely publicised after he was awarded the United States Bronze Star for his role commanding 150 SAS troops in Afghanistan during operation Anaconda in 2002.
12.30pm is the start of the Anzac Day Races and 6pm will be Two-Up at the RSL.
