The free program is for people 65 and over and includes practical exercises to improve strength and balance and covers a range of topics and sessions with local health professionals and guest speakers.

The group-based sessions run for two hours a week for seven weeks, followed by a refresher session two months later.
"More than one third of adults aged over 65 years old fall each year. The Stepping On program is a wonderful way to deliver strategies to assist people aged over 65 to remain independent by maintaining optimum health, keep active and prevent falls. Its very inclusive and lots of fun for the participants," Registered Nurse Bernadette Holmes said.
This year's Stepping On Program will be conducted from late May to early July.
