Despite the ladies suffering an 18-0 loss in round one against the Forbes Magpies, Coach Aimee Rixon said a new look team and commitment to training has her confident 2019 will be a positive year.
"The girls are looking fantastic this year," the coach praised.
"Gerald (Mackay, former Tiger) and I have been impressed with the commitment, effort and positive vibes the girls have brought this year."
"We have a new look team with some young guns while still maintaining our key experienced players, which I feel will be an asset for us this year, adding some depth and versatility to the team. Each of the girls bring something strong to the team and are taking ownership of their role which has been impressive.

"The girls have the potential to step up in the competition this year so we are keen to improve each week and hopefully get a few wins.
While the ladies suffered a devastating season in 2018, finishing seventh on the Group 11 competition ladder, winning only one game, Rixon said the team have demonstrated an outstanding dedication and improvement to the game.
"We have a chance this Sunday and the girls are confident with their game play and how they have been training," she said.
"Gerald and I are hoping for a solid start early in the game and consistency from the girls by staying positive, giving it there best and most of all have fun. We play our best when we deliver this regardless of the outcome."
While Parkes and CYMS are top two to watch, Rixon believes Macquarie are also strong competition.
"We are certainly not going to make it easy for any of the teams this year either and are keen for the season," she said.
"In our team this year we have some speed all round in the team and some key play makers controlling the middle which is awesome.
"Everyone is hard working and owning their roles, which makes them stand out in their own right, so we can't ask for more at this point. Hopefully going to be an exciting season for the girls."
The female coach said it's a "privliege" to be coaching the girls in 2019, and is proud the club are embracing women in rugby league.
"It's exciting and a privilege to be in the coaching role this year," Rixon said.
"I'm lucky to have been involved with the team and helping out the last few years, so I've learnt from some great people in the club and I'm looking forward to the season.
"The inclusion and involvement of women in rugby league has taken a while in general, but I feel that all clubs are really stepping up and I'm grateful for the opportunity the Nyngan Tigers have given me as a female, to take on this new role."
While Rixon said it's going to be a challenge, the support of former Tiger Gerald Mackay will be an asset to the team.
"I'm also lucky to have the support and playing knowledge of Gerald Mackay helping me at training and in the side line this year.
"I think we make a great team and are a good balance for the girls. The club have also been fantastic offering support, helping with training and advice.
"This year I am expecting to have a fun and enjoyable season, where the girls regardless of the outcome love playing the game and maintain a positive attitude and effort, so far I couldn't be more proud of them."
Rixon thanked the club, committee and Nyngan supporters who work hard to include women in rugby league and brave the cold early starts.
"It really makes a difference when there is a crowd watching and cheering for us, it boosts our morale and the girls love it."
This Sunday the Tigers take on Westside at Larkin Oval at 12pm.
