Publicity officer of the Show committee and steward of showjumping Belle Richardson said even though we are still in a major drought situation, the Show committee are pushing foward to hold the annual event on May 19-20.
"The Show must go on," she said.
While the dry weather across most parts of New South Wales has wreaked havoc to many rural towns over the year, causing some towns to cancel their annual Shows, Mrs Richardson said now more than ever they needed to come together.
"It's been such a big drought, which means it's important now, more than ever, that we get the community together," she said.
"A few of our neighbouring towns such as Cobar and Bourke have had to call them off, and we [the committee] felt we had to just go with it."
