The Hear Our Hearts bus will visit Nyngan next week to provide free ear health checks for children aged six months to 18 years.
The mobile service will be in Nyngan on Monday, May 20 from 11am until 4.45pm at the Nyngan Health Service at 15 Hoskins Street.
Parents with concerns for their child's hearing or ear health can ring their office on 6884 8751 to make an appointment for their child at the Nyngan Community Day.
The van will also be in Warren on Tuesday, May 21 at the Little Possums Preschool from 9am until 4.30pm, and on Wednesday May 22 will be at the Warren Preschool from 9am until 3pm.
The Hear Our Hearts project has been popular among a number of communities in the Central West, which seeks to provide ongoing ear checks to children in the community.
The volunteer community-funded project was established by hearing support teachers who identified that regular hearing checks were not occurring in their communities. As a result the Hear Our Heart charity seeks to provide support with the identification, treatment pathway and improvement of educational outcomes for children involved.
The Hear Our Hearts bus project is not for profit and not government funded and relies on donations and fundraising to allow it to continue.
