This is because almost all of the Bogan shire's drought projects have been ticked off.
The Bogan Shire Council had seven local projects funded by $1 million from the federal government's Drought Communities Program (DCP). The council was one of 18 in the Parkes electorate to receive the support.
The funding is aimed at rejuvenating community infrastructure and to deliver a much needed boost to the local economy by using local resources, businesses, suppliers and workers.
Bogan Shire mayor Ray Donald said the projects had been very successful, and beneficial to the shire, especially amidst the current drought.

"We had community consultations and we feel all these projects would benefit from the community as well as the appearance of the town."
Mayor Donald praised the work of the council staff to ensure the projects could go ahead.
