Thousands kick up the dust at annual Louth races, photos

Thousands of people have kicked up the dust and embraced the windy conditions at the annual Louth races, and a night or two under the stars.

Over 4000 people from across Australia travel to the tiny community in the middle of remote north-west NSW that swells from fewer than 50 people to thousands for one weekend every year for one of NSW's most iconic outback race meets.

Nyngan's Rodney Robb had a cracking day of racing, with the highlight being Wendy Peel's stellar ride on Austin taking out the Landmark Walsh Hughes Louth Cup by a huge margin.
