Nyngan service providers will be hosting a free community barbecue at Davidson Park on Thursday, August 27 from 12pm until 2pm.
"It's a time for people to chill out and have a chat," Katie White from the Community Hub said.
"Service providers will be there for people to learn more about mental health concerns and we hope the barbecue will show our community that mental health is nothing to be ashamed of."

Ms White is also encouraging businesses, organisations, schools and anyone in the community to wear blue on August 27 to help start up a conversation.
"We're going to paint the town blue to show visual support and help get the conversation started about mental health," she said.
"We hope this event can help break down the stigma."
The event is being hosted by the Nyngan Community Hub, Mission Australia, Ability Links and Catholic Care.
