The gamed chopped and changed. We held a 16-12 lead a minute before the break but Wellington were able to cross over on the stroke of half time to see the sides locked at ten-all when they went to the sheds.
The Tigers were first to score after the break with Clinton Edwards crossing over in the corner to put our noses in front 20-16, however there was a major game changer not long after Clint's try.
The Tigers were twenty metres out from Wellington's line when a scrum went down with our loose and feed. From there Welington went down the other end and crossed for a converted try to gain the lead. The fulltime score was 34-24 in Wellington's favour.
We didn't do too much wrong, just a few little moments where defensive errors and a couple of 50/50 calls went against us.
We lost front runner Troy Evans early on which didn't help with our interchange rotation. Hopefully Evo will be good to go this weekend. Jacob and Matho got through a mountain of defensive work in the middle as did Ned Dawson.
The locations of weekends semi's had not been finalised at the time of print so times and venues will be advertised.
The u18s bowed out of the competition going down 32-16 to Parkes. Our boys never really got going and although they tried hard it just wasn't there that day.
Coach Jackson Hedges and manager Egg Quarmby have to be commended for the job they have done to get these boys on the paddock week in and week out.
Half of the team are from other towns and just being able to field a competitive side has been an effort in itself. Well done to all.
This weekend our Reggies will be in action in the major semi with our first grade side taking on Forbes in the elimination semi with that game more than likely to be in Nyngan on Sunday. Full details on Tigers Facebook.
Golf
The ancient Pat Walsh won the August monthly medal with a score of +one. On most occasions that score would be flat out winning a ball. Regardless of that history Pat was more than happy to accept the medal donated by MSD Mining Solutions.
The runner-up with square was Dave Buggy. He finished at a great rate with +2 for the run home a little bit too late. Negative scores for the rest with John Wynne -1 picking up a ball for his effort.
Steve Peterson and Tex Tomek they recorded a score of 95 pts in the four ball multiplier. Unbelievable that they could average a tad better than 5pts per hole. No washouts for them, both played way better than their handicap.
A highlight was a birdie by Tex and par by Peto on the 13th for a dozen points. The runners-up were not within a bulls roar with their score of 63pts. The reason being they had three washout holes, Stephen Parry and Mr RC suffered that fate.
Pin winners RC/Tex. At Cobar for the ladies open Deb Matheson won the 18 hole A Grade scratch. At home it was another in for Jodi Steward 70nett, next Jenny Holmes 72nett, then Dolly Ryan 76nett. A stroke next Saturday followed by a Stableford Sunday.

Hcp Pairs round game Alby Homer and Ryan Nipperess defeated Wayne Kearns and Pat Walsh (sub) in a very close game 19/17.
The Nyngan Bowling club will be cheering Jacob Homer and Tristan Dal Forno on when they go to Bathurst City on Saturday 24th August to play Champion of Champion pairs. Their first game they have drawn Steve Shannon and Jae Marskell from Mudgee a formidable combination. Best of luck boys.
