Ms Pitt said over the course of the weekend, the pair were given insight into marketing and social media, grant applications, grass roots youth engagement, how to diversify our show and volunteer self-care from leaders in the agricultural show movement.
"It was inspiring to hear from other show societies, from Camden to Finley, that are working to successfully engage the next generation in the show movement," she said.
"We had some fantastic interactive discussions about events, displays and marketing tricks to continue to keep the local show a highlight in the local calendar.
"A major highlight was hearing from keynote speaker Ellen Downes, 2019 NSW/ACT Rural Women's Award finalist, who has an incredible involvement in the NSW Show movement and her local community, while raising three children and running a successful mixed farming enterprise with her husband as well as working as a doctor specialising in rehabilitation medicine.
"We are looking forward to bringing everything we learnt over the weekend back to benefit our community and we are very grateful to the Show Society for supporting us and allowing us to represent Nyngan."
