The grand final was a double extra-time affair, but a smart piece of work from player of the match Bailee Griffiths decided it late on as the Tigers scored a thrilling 16-12 win.
Nyngan Tigers coach Glenn Smith said his girls came to Apex Oval expecting a difficult game, conceding the South Dubbo Raidettes were the team to beat.
"It was the game we thought we were coming to play; they were the yard-stick, and they definitely didn't let us down," Smith said.
"It was a fight to the death, golden point, second set of extra time, but our girls hung onto their structure and really full credit to them, but also credit to the other girls, they played a hell of a game."
"It all came down to a bounce of the ball, a flip of the coin, it could easily have been them celebrating and not us, but luckily our Tigers were able to get up."
Nyngan seemed to have the better of the exchanges throughout the game's first half, frustrating the South Dubbo offence on the back of a consistent, even defence and managing to notch up two tries thanks to Breanna Henry and Serenity Sheather to give them a 10-0 lead at half-time.
"The message at half-time was just not to panic," Smith said.
"Just breathe, focus on your drills, don't do anything silly, keep our structure, come out relaxed. I wanted them to talk positive and stay positive and they did that."
However, the gap began to close in the second half, with Ella James crossing for the Raiders seven minutes in after a sustained attacking set.
Despite desperate, hard-fought defence along the Tigers try-line, South Dubbo were able to cross again with twelve minutes to go, narrowing the gap to just two points.
The Raidettes continued to dominate and then their defence took centre stage as the Tigers were stopped from getting across time and time again.
The Macquarie side then created space for the fast-moving Eloisa Purtell to set up another try late on as the Raidettes took the lead for the first time with just six minutes to go.
But the Raidettes then became their own worst enemy, giving away a late penalty and the Tigers took the opportunity and Breanna nailed the kick to level things up at 12-all and force extra time.
The first five minutes of extra-time was played at a ferocious pace as the sides threw everything at each other.
But no try could be scored and on the game went into a second period.
As time trickled down and the two sides seemed destined to be level the Tigers had one last chance close to the line.
Griffiths took the ball from dummyhalf and darted over as quick as a flash to catch the Raiders napping and seal premiership glory.
It was a result that Smith was grateful for, saying that the level of competition offered by South Dubbo all year had pushed his side to better themselves and left them all 'very happy' with the results.
