Nyngan Garden club celebrate the festive season

A well attended meeting of Nyngan Garden Club was recently held in the 3CN's church hall where we gathered together for our Christmas celebrations.

The Church provided a delicious luncheon, with the tables delightfully decorated with tiny 'fairy' lights, bon bons and numerous vases of beautiful fresh roses.

It was fun to participate in the 'secret Santa' parcels drawn with much laughter as surprise presents were unwrapped.

Entertainment during the afternoon was provided by Mrs Bay Lovett and her daughter Louise.

We are fortunate to have such brilliant local talent with clever skits and excellent poetry written by themselves.

The coming Christmas Carnival and Markets to be held on Saturday, December 7,commencing at 6.00pm, were discussed.

Santa will be there and children can have their photo taken for free from 6.30pm.

Also toys donated by the Show Society will be given away to children at the carnival.

Other activities include:barbecue and drinks, chocolate wheel, plant and various other stalls, face painting, jumping castle and live entertainment.

The $200 Garden Club raffle with prizes of $1000 first, $500 second, and five prizes of $100 each will be drawn on the night.

Just bring a chair or a picnic rug, and be part of a very enjoyable fun evening.

Funds raised will be going to Little Wings to support seriously ill children and their families from regional NSW receiving specialised medical treatment in the city
