Heading into the match at No. 2 Oval after strong wins on the road at Cobar and Narromine, Dubbo continued its strong form with an eight-wicket win over the visiting Nyngan.
Barber came into the attack late on and bagged 4/20 as Nyngan was knocked over for just 122 and then Chris Newbold and Darcy Chewings led the way in what turned out to be a routine chase.
Nyngan, playing its first match of the Brewery Shield season, was on the back foot almost immediately as Ben O'Donnell (2/13) and Lawson Shepherd (1/22) reduced to visitors to 3/24.
Toby Miles tried to lead a fightback and made 22 but once he departed and Barber entered the attack the end came soon for Nyngan.
