The annual Bogan Shire Seniors Week celebrations will take place from March 30 until April 3, with a full program of free activities for those 60-years-old and over.
Bogan Shire Council general manager Derek Francis said the week-long celebration is important to acknowledge the valuable contributions they make not only to their families, friends but the wider community.
"Whether it's through ongoing employment, caring for others, volunteering, grandparenting, cultural and sporting pursuits or preserving our history, our seniors continue to make their mark on our shire and the people who live in it," he said.
"Our Senior's Week events are an opportunity to publicly acknowledge this, and for them join with other people in friendship."

Nominations are now open for the 2020 Bogan Shire Senior Citizen of the Year, for residents who contribute to the community.
"There are many deserving people out there who should be recognised, but they need to be officially nominated for this to happen," Mr Francis said.
If you know of any citizen of the Bogan Shire Council, aged 60 or over, who deserves recognition for what they do for our community please consider nominating them so their efforts can be fully appreciated.
Nomination forms are available at the shire front office and at the Library.
This is a free event for all senior citizens, so please come along for this very special event on the annual calendar.
