A man is in a serious but stable condition after he was allegedly set alight by three people in the carpark of a pub at around 9.50pm on September 13. Police said two women were allegedly with the victim and another man in the carpark of the Stock Hotel on Anzac Avenue in Toowoomba when the attack occurred. The 26-year-old victim, from the village of Southbrook outside Toowoomba, ran into the hotel after he was allegedly set alight and emergency services were called. Police said he suffered severe burns and was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. "It's concerning but I want to reassure the public that we do not believe this is a random attack," QLD Police Acting Inspector Paula Smithard said. IN OTHER NEWS: A 31-year-old Newtown woman and 35-year-old Wilsonton woman have been charged with one count each of causing grievous bodily harm. Police are searching for the third suspect.
