The benefits of Girl Guides for girls and young women and the list of opportunities it provides is endless. It is where girls experience independence, fun, friendship and adventure.
It’s where they find their voice, work as a team, take part in community projects, camp, abseil, paint, clean up their local community in a “girl only” space.
They do so, under the support and guidance of a Leader, who helps her Guides grow into strong, confident, passionate young women. Girl Guides teaches girls and young women to be their best and the values girls gain through Guiding set them up for life.
Girl Guides is an asset to any community, particularly small close-knit community-minded areas like Nyngan and it would be a loss if the closure of the Guide Hall did take place.
We are doing a final call-out to the community to get Guiding back in Nyngan.
We are seeking volunteers to become leaders, and support group members (no Guiding experience or background necessary).
If you would like to put your leadership and management skills to great use or develop your skills further please contact Vivian Evans to find out how you can get Girl Guides going again.
You will receive free leadership training, opportunities for self-development and friendship.
If you are passionate, dedicated and committed to ensuring girls in your local community grow into strong, empowered, community minded women then we want to hear from you!
Be part of a team of passionate, goal-oriented women taking action on issues which affect Australia and the global community.
