This year we are lucky enough to have two mids teams and what an enthusiastic bunch they all are.
We had our first home game on Saturday against a strong Trangie side who were not going down without a fight.
All players started the game with a determined attitude.
Matt Lynch was shutting down Trangie's attack all through the first half.
Harry Williams fell down onto his shoulder but immediately wanted to get back into the excitement of the game.
Mia Hancock and Anita Lewis played their best as always working together up front to score our first goal for the season and, once Harry got back on the field, he scored his first goal.
We went into half-time level with Trangie at 2-2, about to go back on Bradley Fitzalan who was determined to finish the game for the mids to take out their first win of the year.
Brydie Hoare, Bella Rufus and Grace Bonnano were dynamic working together pulling out all the different types of play.
First-timer Elizabeth Healey was a bit nervous to go on but once she did she was unbelievable at stopping Trangie before they scored.
Max Smith couldn't have had a better game in the goals. Although he didn't stop all the shots, he was heroically diving to stop the ball.
Well done to all the mids, can't wait to see you all at training on Thursday.
