Despite overwhelming evidence of success, the federal government maintains its plan to end the Gonski funding model after 2017, the Parkes electorate alone stands to lose $37 million in funding from its schools.
Gonski funding is already responsible for several initiatives benefiting students in Nyngan schools including: The Brospeak program, Aboriginal Dance workshops, General equity funding for sports and cultural excursions and resources.
